Meadowbrook School Council AGM – June 10
We invite all Meadowbrook parents and guardians to attend our Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, June 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Learning Commons. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the role of school council, hear updates from the year, and get involved for the 2025–26 school year.
Whether you're interested in joining the council or just want to stay informed, all are welcome. We hope to see you there!
PARTNERS IN LEARNING
OurSCHOOL Parent Survey
To all Meadowbrook Parents/Guardians,
We invite you to participate in an online survey called the OurSCHOOL Parent Survey from May 12 to June 6. This anonymous questionnaire gives you the chance to share your thoughts on how the school supports learning, encourages positive behaviour, and keeps our community safe and inclusive.
While taking part is voluntary, we encourage every parent and guardian to complete it so we can get a clear picture of what’s working well and where we can grow.
You’ll receive a link to the survey by email within the next two days. The survey window runs May 12 - June 6. Thank you for showing commitment to our school community by lending your voice to this process.
If you have any questions or need help accessing the survey, please contact the school office at 403-948-5656.
Assessment at RVS: Numeracy and Literacy Interventions
Rocky View Schools is sharing a series of articles on the division website regarding assessments: the process of gathering data about student learning. This information is intended to help provide greater insight into why and when assessments are done and encourage ongoing communication between teachers and families to support student success.
Read the second article in our series this month, covering numeracy and literacy interventions at RVS. Our earlier article, Understanding Provincial and Divisional Assessments, is also available on the RVS website.

Badminton Update
Congratulations to our Meadowbrook student athletes—Hayden & Tayla and Lyla & Hannah—who represented our school at the Zone Badminton Championships this past Saturday. While neither team advanced to the playoff round, they played with heart, showed strong effort, and demonstrated great sportsmanship throughout the day. A shout-out to our coaches for their commitment to our athletes throughout the season.
We’re proud of the way they represented Meadowbrook. Well done, Bulldogs!
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
Safe Play
A reminder to all students about safe play. In last week's Bulletin, we highlighted that hands-on play is never okay. It happens all too often that what starts innocently can quickly lead to accidents, misunderstandings, and risk of injury. We encourage responsible, mindful interactions during all activities.
Off-Campus Lunch Expectations
Students are reminded that going off-campus is not for hanging out in the community. Behavior off campus should reflect well on our school community. If students leave, they should be going home for lunch and remain off campus for the full lunch period, with no coming and going on-and-off campus.
To be clear, students should return with no junk food such as Slurpies, energy drinks, chips, or candy. This policy supports our goal of encouraging healthy choices and maintaining focus for the rest of the school day.
We appreciate your continued support in helping students make responsible choices and contribute to a positive school culture.
Secure Your Wheels
Our bike and scooter racks are located along a public path, so be sure to bring a lock. There is no indoor storage. Unsecured gear is at risk - don’t take the chance. Students are responsible for locking up their own equipment.
