Upcoming Field Trips – June is a Busy Month!
We’re looking forward to an exciting month ahead with many field trips planned across grade levels! These experiences are a great opportunity for students to learn beyond the classroom and enjoy time together before the year ends.
To help everything run smoothly, we ask families to please pay close attention to permission forms and payment deadlines. These forms are available online through SchoolCash. Timely submissions help us confirm venues, book buses, and ensure we have enough volunteers in place for a safe and successful trip.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation. We appreciate your help in making these experiences possible for all students!
PARTNERS IN LEARNING
OurSCHOOL Parent Survey
The OurSCHOOL Parent Survey is open until the end of this week, June 6. This anonymous survey lets you share your thoughts on how our school supports learning, encourages positive behavior, and keeps our community safe and inclusive.
The survey link was sent to all parents and guardians by email. If you haven’t had a chance to complete it yet, please take a moment to find that email and click the link to share your feedback. Your input helps us understand what’s working well and where we can improve.
If you need help locating the email or accessing the survey, please contact the school office at 403-948-5656.
Thank you for being part of our Meadowbrook community and lending your voice.
Meadowbrook School Council AGM – June 10
We invite all Meadowbrook parents and guardians to attend our Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, June 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Learning Commons. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the role of school council, hear updates from the year, and get involved for the 2025–26 school year.
Whether you're interested in joining the council or just want to stay informed, all are welcome. We hope to see you there!
Healthy Hunger Volunteers
We’re looking for volunteers to fill spots on the final Healthy Hunger days of the year - June 5 & 19. If you can give 45 minutes of your time on any one of these days, it would be much appreciated.
Please sign up here through Sign Up Genius.
Save the Date: Meadowbrook Casino Fundraiser – December 7 & 8
The Partners of Meadowbrook Middle School Association is thrilled to announce our upcoming AGLC Casino Fundraiser at Ace Casino.
This event can raise between $40,000–$50,000 for our school - and we need volunteers to help make it happen!
Volunteers will work day, evening, and late night/early morning shifts on December 7 and 8, filling key roles behind the scenes. No experience is required - all training is provided on-site. Plus, volunteers receive a free meal and the chance to connect with others in the Meadowbrook community.
Parents, guardians, grandparents, and staff are all welcome to join.

BULLDOG STRONG
Track & Field
Congratulations to our Zone Track & Field champions!
To Gemma for taking first place in hurdles for grade 7 and Ryan (Grade 8) for triple jump and finishing second in hurdles. Well done to both athletes for their impressive performances and for representing our school!
Spirit Days
June 6 – Summer Vibes Day
Get ready to kick back and soak up the sunshine—Summer Vibes Day is all about celebrating the end of the year with beachy, tropical fun! Wear your favorite summer gear like Hawaiian shirts, sunglasses, bucket hats, flip-flops, and bright colors. Think beach towels, leis, and good vibes only! Bonus points for inflatable pool toys, sun hats, or surfer style.
June 20 - Colour Palooza
Let the color battle begin! For Color Palooza Day, each homeroom will choose a unique color to wear—students and staff included! Everyone in the class comes dressed head-to-toe in their assigned color to show their team spirit.
June 25 - Twin or Squad Day
Grab a friend—or your whole crew—and coordinate your outfits! On Twin/Squad Day, students (and staff!) can dress alike in matching outfits, themed costumes, or coordinated colors. Whether you’re a dynamic duo or a full squad, it’s all about teamwork, creativity, and showing off your friendship in style!
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
Staying Focused as Summer Nears
As the weather warms up and summer gets closer, we know students are feeling more energetic and excited, but it’s important to stay focused on learning right through to the end of the year.
Another important reminder: water toys of any kind are not allowed at school. While they might seem like fun, they can:
- Cause distractions and take away from the respectful, focused environment we want for everyone.
- Create safety risks from water on floors leading to slips and falls or they might look like real or dangerous objects, causing unnecessary worry.
Thanks for helping keep our school safe, calm, and ready for learning.
