PARTNERS IN LEARNING

Year-end Field Trips

Every student should have received an information letter from their homeroom teacher about the year-end field trip. Please review this information with your child, complete the permission form, and sign-up to volunteer!!

Field trips are memory-building events for students, and we couldn’t do them without the support of volunteers. Thank you for reaching out to your child’s teacher to lend a hand in this way.

Grade 6s – Tuesday, June 25, Calgary Zoo. Forms & fees are dues no later than June 20.

Grade 7s – Tuesday, June 25, Heritage Park. Forms & fees due no later than June 14.

Grade 8s – Monday, June 24, Calaway Park. Forms & fees due no later than June 17.

A huge thank you to Meadowbrook Parent Council for supporting these experiences by sponsoring a bus for each grade.

Library Wind-down Schedule

June 7: This will be the last day for students to sign out library books or borrow from a classroom library.

June 14 – 21: All borrowed materials (books, novels, textbooks) must be returned to the library. Students, do a thorough search at home and at school to be sure you have returned all borrowed materials. Please let Ms. Harris know if you are having trouble finding the books you owe.

June 24: Students will receive outstanding book notices for materials they have not yet returned. The cost of lost/overdue items will be charged to students’ SchoolCash accounts. This will be especially important for students leaving Meadowbrook! They will be unable to borrow textbooks, novels, etc., until their outstanding items/SchoolCash charges are resolved.

2025/26 & 2026/27 School Calendar Survey
Rocky View Schools (RVS) invites you to give feedback regarding the proposed school calendars for the 2025/26 and 2026/27 school years. Beginning in 2025/26, RVS is considering the introduction of a fall break in November to support staff and student well-being. The survey includes questions about the impact a break in November might have for you and your family. It is important to note RVS is legally required to include a minimum number of school days, professional learning days and all statutory holidays into every school year calendar. To learn more about the options being presented and to provide feedback, visit RVSEngage. The survey will be open beginning May 20 and close June 17 at 4 p.m. The Board anticipates making a decision next fall. Thank you for your time and input.
