Spring Concert Celebrations

We are thrilled to announce that last week’s music concert was a great success! Our talented students dazzled the audience with their exceptional performances, showcasing months of hard work and dedication. From the lively band pieces to the intricate solo performances, every act was met with resounding applause. A huge thank you to our dedicated band teacher, Ms. Wong, and supportive parents for making our Spring concert unforgettable.

We’d also like to thank our grade 6 music teachers, Ms. Wong and Mr. Yeh for their excellent musical pieces. Finally, a big Bulldog bravo to our young musicians for a great showing of memorable melodies!

HERE’S WHAT’S COMING UP

Recognition Assembly

We’ll be having our final assembly of the year this Friday and taking time to look back on an amazing year. We acknowledge everyone’s hard work behind the scenes and in the spotlight to make this year successful and memorable. We recognize the incredible efforts and contributions of all who have made it such a great year by:

  • demonstrating respect, responsibility, and a commitment to creating a safe, positive, and inclusive school environment;
  • exemplifying Meadowbrook values of perseverance, empathy, and school spirit;
  • leading by example, inspiring peers, and driving positive change within the school;
  • enriching our school with creativity and artistic achievements; and
  • demonstrating teamwork, sportsmanship, and striving for excellence.

Thank you, Meadowbrook students, for your leadership, positive citizenship, and Bulldog Heart.

Housekeeping Items for All Students

With less than 10 school days left, the school’s year-end celebrations also include attending to housekeeping items before students depart for the summer.

Library Returns: June 14 – 21:
All borrowed materials (books, novels, resource material, textbooks) must be returned to the library. Students, do a thorough search at home and at school to be sure you have returned all borrowed materials. Please let Ms. Harris know if you are having trouble finding the books you owe.

Unreturned library books: June 24:
Students will receive outstanding book notices for materials they have not yet returned. The cost of lost/overdue items will be charged to students’ SchoolCash accounts. This will be especially important for students leaving Meadowbrook! They will be unable to borrow textbooks, novels, etc., until their outstanding items/SchoolCash charges are resolved.

Lost & Found:
We urge students to check the lost and found which is in the portables. Items not collected by Friday, June 21 will be donated to the Airdrie Community Thrift Store.

Locker Clean-Ups:
Students will begin official locker clean-up on Wednesday, June 19 to ensure school supplies are going home or unrequired items are discarded in the appropriate waste containers.

Lockers can continue to be used until the last day of school to secure personal belongings (including cellphones!!).

Locks:
Students are to keep their locks as they will need to reuse them next year. Students who were unable to find their locks from previous years will need new school-issued locks in September and will be charged for their replacement. Hold on to your locks!!!!

Report Cards

This is a reminder that your child’s report card is located in the PowerSchool Public Portal. You will not receive a printed copy from the school, but you or your child may view, download and print your own copy of the digital report card from PowerSchool any time after June 26.

To access the report card, log into PowerSchool and look for the Report Card link at the bottom left of the page.

Only parents/guardians who have access to PowerSchool will be able to view the report card. Students also have access to view their report card by signing in with their RVS credentials. If you do not have a public portal account, please contact your school secretary.

2025/26 & 2026/27 School Calendar Survey
Rocky View Schools (RVS) invites you to give feedback regarding the proposed school calendars for the 2025/26 and 2026/27 school years. Beginning in 2025/26, RVS is considering the introduction of a fall break in November to support staff and student well-being. The survey includes questions about the impact a break in November might have for you and your family. It is important to note RVS is legally required to include a minimum number of school days, professional learning days and all statutory holidays into every school year calendar. To learn more about the options being presented and to provide feedback, visit RVSEngage. The survey opened May 20 and closes June 17 at 4 p.m. The Board anticipates making a decision next fall. Thank you for your time and input.
