We know Meadowbrook students are awesome. Now, Airdrie knows it too!
We couldn't be more proud of the three Meadowbrook students who have been named Awesome Kids in the latest issue of Airdrie Life magazine! These remarkable students along with 25 others were selected for their positive contributions both at school and in the community. Their kindness, support of peers, athleticism, entrepreneurial spirit, and unwavering commitment to their education have made them stand out as models for positive citizenship.
A big congratulations to Carson Wilkie, Jordyn Friesen, and Noelle Kingsbury for this well-deserved recognition! Their efforts and achievements not only make a difference at Meadowbrook, but they also inspire others to lead with heart and determination. We are incredibly proud of them and excited to see the continued impact they will have on their community!

Exclusively through Healthy Hunger, you can purchase an e-gift card, and a portion of each sale will go directly toward supporting our school’s fundraising efforts. There are so many options – from individual retailers to great group deals – for food, entertainment, retail, travel, or grocery. E-gift cards from as low as $5 to $500. Click on this How-to Flyer.

PARTNERS IN LEARNING
Supporting Reading at Home & School
With the holiday break coming up, students will soon have a nice long stretch of time to curl up with a good book.
To promote comprehension and understanding story structure, ask your child to describe these elements in the books they are reading:
- Beginning + problem
- Setting and characters
- Rising action events
- Climax
- Falling action events
- Resolution
Engaging with these story elements will not only enhance their reading experience but also strengthen their skills. We hope this encourages meaningful conversations about the books they’re enjoying, and we wish everyone a wonderful and relaxing holiday filled with great stories!

Leadership 8:
Adopt-a-Family Event
Thank you, Meadowbrook families!!
We are incredibly proud of our Bulldogs for demonstrating outstanding citizenship this month helping those in need. Thanks to the generosity of students and families, our Adopt-a-Family event was a resounding success. There were enough donated items to sponsor two Airdrie families with gifts, stocking stuffers, holiday items, and more. This will make a meaningful difference for local families this holiday season.
In addition to this, we are excited to share that we also donated a total of 530 lbs. of food to the Food Bank. See our social media post.
Thank you to everyone who contributed—your kindness and generosity truly embody the Bulldog spirit!

IMPORTANT REMINDERS
Locker Clean-Ups and Lost & Found Before the Winter Break
Next week, students will be participating in a locker clean-up to get ready for the extended Winter Holiday break. This is a great chance for students to bring their gym-strip and other clothing items home and make sure there are no food items or containers left behind that could attract unwanted pests.
Students are also encouraged to check the Lost & Found for any items they may have misplaced. We appreciate your help in reminding students about the locker clean-up and Lost & Found before they leave for the holidays!
